It's just a One man show and not not a high dining experience, and i like this approach, but it seems that instead of focusing on control everything in person, it's only a cost reduction and everything comes from a scratch in a most easygoing way. I really feel guilty concentrating on the negative side of the experience, but can't help myself and have to deal with it not living up to my expectations. Vibes: water offered ahead of order ( good). No change of cutlery between dishes, capsule coffee, sounds of intense use of microwave oven, chipped glassware. 1/5 What really puzzles me is that the water was cold and the white wine was served warm but with a bowl of ice cubes. (this moment I began to question myself if I'm really in France or maybe am i being pushed to commit a crime) 1/5 Tart echalottes: Too much vinegar on salad leaves, a bit to stiff tart dough, but very nice baked with caramelized top onion. 3.5/5 Burger with seitan pattie: seitan patty is way too soft and mushy, the bun is hard crispy outside and soggy inside, threatening to fall apart any time, vegan (possible cashew) cheese just should not exist, the red onion rings give nice crisp and sharpness. baked (likely just microwaved) finger potatoes are absolutely miserable with thick peel and soft tasteless puree-like flesh. Salad leaves overloaded with vinegar again. 2/5 Dessert: microwave steamed chocolate cake (I'm lost here - why even put it in microwave? Unless it was frozen, probably), a bit chewy. 2/5 Interiors are simple and modest, cheap furniture with gaps between the planks of the tabletop, that could send your glass in a lying position, and I really respect that simplicity, there are vinyl envelopes on the walls, from Elvis and the doors to iron maiden and Lana del Rey. 4.5/5
